SOmebody bumped into my car while reversing

Options
Hi guys,

2 days back, X'mas eve, someone reversed into my car whilst it was parked on a quite residential side road. It was probably someone visiting their friends or relatives, but I am not sure what car it was or which house they were visiting.

Nothing has happened to my car except for small graze and scratch mark near the left edge of the bumper and not sure I would bother to get it even repaired now. But considering it would be the only mark (yet !!!) on this fairly new car, I am a bit upset.

I feel a bit embarrassed to walk around and ask my neighbors about the car or their visitors. I don't want to upset them too.

What is the best mode of action now for me? Tell my insurers and get it checked out for repair or forget abt it for now just get on with my life.

P:S: Always been a very careful driver and have got NCB protected for a very long time.

Try getting it out or smoothing it with T cut.

Even if you ring your Insurance company they could put it down as you being a higher risk and up goes your premiums. Whether you claim or not

Try the Tcut first and then see what its like, if its not so noticable, get on with your life.

But I know how you feel, I had my 1 year old car hit twice by other people when i wasnt in the car.

First time was a big tractor who wasnt even aware of the bump and I had to chase him up the road as someone had seen him

Second time someone reversed fast into me in a half empty field but luckily he stayed around.

Hope yu can sort it yourself.

Let us know how you get on.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Forget about it and get on with your life.

If it's a small thing then it's not worth the time and hassle claiming.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

£50 or £100 spent on a "Smart Repair" will certainly be less hassle than any other option and almost certainty be way cheaper too
