I used to work for Rothmans (cigarettes) and we had to pass a security check point on the way out and random people were grabbed and physically searched, but our vehicles weren't0

Thats cos' most of the managers tend to do the security for the store. We used to have people come in and nick bottles of spirits....not for consumption I might add, but to bottle someone outside with!
It was very scary in one of the areas that I worked in (I suppose most of their stores tend to be in scary areas!) - locking up the store late at night! I now look back and think what an idiot I was - as a 20 something female.
But you live and learn - I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now, but I have loads of admiration for those who do still work for them, as I just know what they are put through in their stores.0 -
I worked in a book binders and we got searched sometimes, as long as they dont throw you against the wall and frisk you, I think this is common practice:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Why do they have to throw the stuff through the tills though? You need bionic arms to keep up, throwing it back in the trolly.:rotfl:0
