Egg Travel Insurance offer - Impact on Stoozed funds?

There is post on the Insurance section regarding Egg's offer till the end of the month for 12-month family travel insurance for just £15. You have to use your Egg the card to buy.

I would like to take advantage but was wondering how it affects stoozing (if at all). I have £15k stoozed that has to be repaid by 1 Sep 2005 on which I am currently making minimum payments each month.

I did not plan to use for purchases which are at 0% until 1 Jul 2005. Am I safe to go ahead? Any gotchas?

Thanks!

I'm sure they will hit you with interest on the insurance as any debt you pay off is that that was on your card first, i.e. your stoozed balance.

That is unless you are still within your 0% period and it applies to purchases too.

If I' reading this right you want to spend £15 which will be at 0% until 1 Jul then attract interest from then to 1 Sep. Two months interest on £15 will still not be anywhere close to the cost of an annual family travel policy (£65 is the best I know of). I see no reason for not buying it if it offers the protection you need.
