Yellow brick road

Bit of a setback yesterday. What i was planning on selling turned out to be worthless. On the plus side, managed to muster up some enthusiasm, (well enthusiasm isn't exactly the word, more motivation ), to continue job hunting. Agencies still closed but saw one suitable job, and applied for a few more. Still waiting for those "we'll get back to you." Time i got back to them.
The last thought of this year, a short one :-
" Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.""We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0

I'm tempted to have a rest from the yellow brick road, today.
 The thought for today :-
It is good to throw away the old calendar with its all too familiar picture and to hang something fresh on the wall. How clean and bright the the new calendar looks! It seems to symbolise the high hopes of this new morning of a new year. But as i flick through the crisp new pages of the moths I am suddely aware of the strange mystery of the future. These pages with their neat rows of dates represent unlived Time, the promise of seasons not yet come to fulfilment, days not yet granted, days that are still a secret."We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0

Today has been a bad day. Reality destroys positivity.
 Thought for now:-
Tomorrow is another day"We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0
-
            Not much to say today.
The thought for today? need a superhuman one:-
 THE HEART REMEMBERS
The heart remembers everything although the mind forgets -- the raptures and the agonies, the hopes and the regrets . . . The heart remembers April when the snows of winter fall, hearing on the bitter wind the sweetest song of all.
When Youth has had its shining hour and Love its golden day - Time may fade the colours and the glory turn to grey, but something of the magic lingers, never to depart -- deep down in the secret place of the quiet heart.
You think you have forgotten but the heart remembers all. Suddenly, some strange and lovely thing it will recall -- something that was buried long ago and far away: a kiss, a smile, a melody, a dream of yesterday."We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0

Hi Scarlett, :hello: how are things going? nice to have some company :rotfl:
Back on the road of positivity today. See what the new year brings, on my debt free journey.
 The thought for today :-
"They that are in the stream of Providence are borne continually to happiness no matter what the appearance of the means"."We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0

Hi Pmo2, thanks for calling in :hello: ( i'll use one of these cheesey little things ) :rotfl:
A busy, not quite as productive as it could have been, day, but disaster averted ( or should i say deflected ) for now.
 Thought for today :-
 LITTLE WORLDS
A bird lived in a painted cage beside a windowpane -- knowing nothing of the wind, the sunlight and the rain. Poor little bird! It was as well he did not realise -- that his tiny wings were meant to beat against the skies.
A man lived in a little world of ready-made ideas -- a cramping cage of prejudices and of doubts and fears. He did not know that out beyond the ranges of his thought -- lay a strange and lovely world where miracles were wrought.
Year by year he lived content behind his prison bars -- never looking up to seek amongst the stars. In many forms life appeared and yet he could not see. Poor little man! He lived and died in his captivity."We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0

Yesterday was a day of many things, resulting in me feeling too negative to post in my diary. She who must be obeyed drives me insane.
Taken xmas decs down this morning. Am i the only person who puts up decs on 12th night, and takes them down on 12th night?
This thought for today, jumped out at me :-
 If you've a song,
 Try it.
 If you've a tear,
 Dry it.
 If you've a cross,
 Bear it.
 If you've a joy,
 Share it.
 When hope grows faint,
 Brace it.
 When trouble comes,
 Face it.
 When there's a wrong,
 Right it.
 When life is grim,
 Fight it.
 If you've a hand,
 Give it.
 If you've a creed,
 Live it.
 If you've a faith,
 Show it,
And let the world know it
:A"We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0

Another major setback today. On the plus side, i got some £2 coins. Hummph
 Todays random thought :-
Wait before you worry. It will all come right.
Why be in a hurry. Trouble to invite.
Don't get in a flurry, giving way to doubt.
Pray before you worry. Let Time work things out."We know what we are, but not what we may be."
"Nothing can bring you serenity but yourself."0
