Ford Focus 1.6 Zetex - timing belt
My son has a 2003 Ford Focus with 52k on the clock. I've told him to see when it's due for a timing belt change. I've not got access to the car manual right now as he's working away from home. Has anyone got any idea what the recommended interval for changing it is? My brother says 100k, and i've Googled and seen a couple of forums where people have said it's also 100k. Seems like a very long time to me.

Yup, definitely 100k and 10 years and they're not known for premature failure.
Personally I'd do it at the 75k or 87.5k services.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008 :beer:0 -
Thank you. He's had enough of me nagging for him to see about it.
He'll be glad to know this. I also read that they're not known for failing prematurely. 0
