So you want to make money for not working? Successful entrepreneurs work BLOODY HARD and any one of them will tell you that. It is perfectly possible to build up a successful company in almost any sector by working at it, but nobody will give you money for adding no value. Even your gold idea means learning to assay, travel, smelt and insure your company as well as a whole load of things I have no idea about. It is all work.

Or put it like this - if there was a foolproof scheme to make millions from not working, don't you think everyone would be doing it (making your millions worthless!)? Lots of people jumped on a property bubble hoping for free millions, many are now regretting it.

PatrickD, yes it is a good idea, Americans have done well out of this.
Paddyrg, Again, you are thinking like a normal hard working person, consider all those morans who wasted yours and my pension money, lost all our money by gambling in so called investments, do you think sweat was pouring out of their orifices? Yet they got all those bonuses and keep playing the same game.
    I am now getting depressed.

Read up on hedge funds during the 2007 crisis and you will see many of them were bricking it. I think there were actually a few suicides.

I don't think you read what I said. I am not talking about 9-5ing for someone else, I'm talking about entrepreneuralism - starting a business, being your own boss, reinvesting your profits in yourself. Or maybe you will find a way for people to give you free money without working for it - may I suggest scam 419 emails, for instance. Except those guys do still 'work' for it, their work is in learning how to thieve and con.

sebastianj - as might be dawning by now, there is no other "tried and tested" method to making millions except working hard to achieve it... and the harder you work the "luckier" you get.

Even the bankers work "hard" to earn their fortunes - highly competitive environment, long hours, high pressure to make profit, "hassle" of working in the City (not for me). I am not defending them here... am just saying it isn't something you walk into and get rich over night....
  • my daughter is just 18 she works at least 70 hours per week
i am sure by the time she is 21 she will be on her way to making a few bob ( or dead)
mind you shes on better money than i am on and i am 42.

    But seriously, to get rich;

    Get a job,two, maybe three
    Work bl**dy hard 70+ hours a week
Setup a business with the cash (pest control/taxis/security/record label/anything)
    Sell out

This is the story of most self made millionaires who never went the orthodox route of university, good job, better job, top job and find themselves at the top of PR firms, tech co's, hedge funds...

Read Duncan Bannatynes bio, it's the same story time and time again for successful (at least in terms of capital gain) entrepeneurs.

It's a long long road and most people stumble at least once but when you come out the other end it's all worth it.

I’m professionally trained as a French/Italian/Russian/Latin (and occasionally Georgian in my spare time, as there are no official exams) teacher, yet also highly skilled in business through hard work, commitment and absolute enthusiasm for what I do!

    Sandman is spot on! ;)

Go read a book called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. You'll like it.

However, you will not get rich without working hard for it. Ask any wealthy person and they would have worked very hard to be in the position they are now.

Get a job, save hard, and learn to make your money work for you. Then you can stop working for money.

    Dear all,

Pls help. I have no money and I want to make a million, where do i start? Someone says 'trade in currencies' the others 'get a job' etc etc.

A tried and tested method, most welcome.:j

borrow as much money as you can (afford the monthly payments on).

invest 75% of borrowed money into something that goes up in value, or something that you can add value to it. i still prefer property even in this climate. stock market, precious metals, land etc etc etc.

property- buy cheap cheap cheap, rent it out for a yr or 3, do it up and sell .

gold/precious metals- buy cheap cheap cheap, hold, then sell when it goes up.

land- buy cheap cheap cheap, near the outskirts of major cities, then get planning permission to build a house/block of flats and then sell.

repeat process till your minted. worst case scenario, you start with nothing, you end up with nothing (bankruptcy.)

    Hi,

I would like to suggest you to join paid survey sites. For joining any survey program you doesn't required to pay money. This is an easy way of earning. After that, when you earn some money you will be able to invest in real state and business and make millions.

    Thanks.
