john lewis price match policy

john lewis have a price match policy that says if you buy a product from john lewis and then within 28 days find the exact same product cheaper at another store they will refund the difference. Does anyone know if this can be applied with john lewis itself? For instance my mum bought a tv 8 days ago for 330 and they have reduced the price to 299. Will they price match with themselves?

I remember a few threads on here about 6+ months ago saying they wont price match against themselves or a online retailer.

But that doesnt mean theres any harm in asking :) You don't ask, you don't get ;)

I bought a lcd tv a few years back from local Jon Lewis store ordered by telephone, it came down in price a week later,I phoned and asked if they price matched themselves ,they said no problem and refunded the difference back onto my card.

Not sure about John Lewis on line though, but as less than 28 days chances are good.

JL online refunded me the difference on a coat a while back, which was very generous as they didn't even have my size in stock anymore!

Not so sure about themselves, but I don't have any problems with them honouring their promise with online sellers.

Thinking about it though, it is probable that the reason for the reduction, is because their has been a retailer who has sold the item for less anyway, so they are price matching a local seller.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Can't say I've had personal experience given my "local" JL is around 40 miles away :P

They have price matched themselves and my mum has been refunded the £30. Good service from John Lewis!

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
