Currys False Advertising

Options
I reserved a Skylanders triple pack containing Chop Chop on Xmas Day (night time) and printed out the item for safe keeping !

Then went to collect it on Boxing Day and they dont have any in stock anywhere ?

So basically i would call this false advertising as i have proof that i have reserved something for which they could not provide ?

Is there any paths/routes i could go down to seriously complain against Currys as Customer Services were not any help at all.

Not nice when you reserve something knowing that it will be yours the next day - only to be attempted by the shop people to pawn you of with something else !!!

Although the picture of the print out is small you can still see the item in question.

Please can some1 help me as this is 1 of the things i seriously wanted to get with my Xmas money

Thankyou Jason Spearman

  • have they taken money for it?

do they know if will be in stock again soon, or at another shop?
    would it be cheaper elsewhere..?

Complain to HQ that you travelled to the store and they will give you a £25 voucher :)
  • It's a pain in the backside, but as they've not taken your money I would doubt there's a legal obligation for them to keep that reservation - it's just a service they offer to tempt you to shop with them.
  • now notice that Currys and Pc World both now have put up
"CONTENTS MAY DIFFER TO THE 1's ADVERTISED"

crafty !!!!!!s, although i have the original printout without that on

how do i complain to HQ ? can't find an address anywhere for it ???
and yes it was very annoying waking up early Boxing day to go and get it - knowing that i would be playing it all day as my Fiancee got my Skylanders for Xmas

more help would be appreciated people as ive even contacted several other places about their false advertising so that least put "Contents may vary" up more often

Well, if you were to type Currys and HQ into google then one of the first few hits will give you an address.

    report it to consumer direct.

you probably wont have much comeback but if lots of complaints are made about the same thing then it might highlight that they are purposelly advertising things they dont have.
