Natwest Home Insurance - Laptop Broken

DailyClicker

Hey,
I knocked my laptop off the table and it's broken the screen. It's made it go all pixelated and wrong colour. The laptop was purchased in March 2009 for £1,299.99 from Comet.
Here is Natwest's Policy Document
They have arranged collection for this Wednesday 28th.
What exactly are my rights? Can I ask for a replacement laptop whilst they decide what to do? How long does the whole process usually take? This laptop is discontinued, so what value would they have to offer me?
Merry Christmas

They are likely to repair the laptop.
You aren't entitled to a replacement whilst it is repaired, unless your insurance policy specifically states this.
If it is not repairable, they may replace with a similar specification or deduct wear and tear from a cash payment.
Insurers don't like making cash payments.
You won't get £1299.99, that's for certain.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

Is there a fair time for repairs to take, as I cannot find any details in the policy document0 -
It will only cost about £80 to repair, so dont worry about that part. Inregards to time to repair it takes 15 minutes to fit and arrives next day from supplier.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
