Any nice places to live North Welsh coast?

Your best bet may be to look around the Llandudno/Colwyn Bay/Conwy area. There's a couple of reasons why, firstly Llandudno is the 'hub' of the North Wales coast being the main shopping area, home to Venue Cymru which is the biggest theatre in North Wales and which attracts the odd big name from time to time and the town also has some decents pubs and restaurants. You also have all the tourist attractions on your doorstep, the beaches and a Cineworld multiplex in Llandudno Junction.
The other advantage is the transport links. The A55 will get you to Chester in 40/45 minutes and you can get a train from Llandudno Junction or Colwyn Bay direct to London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester amonst other places. If you're needing to get to mid Wales the A470, the main road between North and South Wales runs from Llandudno to Cardiff via Dolgellau, Rhayader, Builth Wells, etc, so you'll be conveniently located for that too.
I wouldn't suggest Llandudno itself, mainly because in the 1990's the town suffered some serious flooding and I'm not convinced it won't happen again. I also wouldn't suggest Colwyn Bay itself as it's a bit rough, too many bedsits and vacant properties. I'd suggest looking at areas like Penrhyn Bay, Llanrhos, Deganwy, Glan Conwy or Gyffin which are close enough to all the amenities but high enough above sea level to reduce the risk of flooding. You might also consider Rhos-on-Sea which is nice but a bit sedate, it has one of the highest ratios of OAPs per head of population in Wales. It does however play host to first class cricket every year as Glamorgan traditionally play a couple of matches there in order to spread the word across the whole of Wales.
Whatever you do though stay well clear of Rhyl. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

Thanks, lots!
What is the deal with Rhyl?
Hadn't thought about flooding, just had a really good look at the floodmaps, which was illuminating. Any thoughts on Prestatyn? OH works all over so good transport links is important.0 -
Rhyl is a bit run down and has a lot of social deprivation. The West End specifically is bad, in fact it's officially the most socially deprived area in Wales - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-14734089. There were some moves towards improving the area a few years back but these were halted by the credit crunch and little has happened since.
I don't know much about Prestatyn, but I think it's nicer than Rhyl (although it couldn't possibly be worse). The one thing that goes against it for me is that it's some way from the A55 and there's no direct link to it so it's not the most convenient location if you're travelling by car. On the other hand there is a railway station so it's fine if you're travelling by train.
If you're not to bothered about having a sea view you could look at either Bodelwyddan or St. Asaph which are a bit inland but both located in close proximity to the A55. The downside is that neither have much in the way of public transport links. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

Strictly speaking Golden Sands isn't in Rhyl, in fact it isn't even in the same county. Rhyl is in Denbighshire and Golden Sands is in Kinmel Bay which is in Conwy. Having said that it's only a rivers width away from Rhyl.
And yes it is Chumlee. Pawn Stars has become my favourite TV programme at the moment and because I've only recently discovered it more often than not when it comes on it's one I haven't seen before. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
