MP3 Problem!

My 18b vision Archos does not show anywhere when I plug it into to my computer. I can only use the Radio.
My Daughter has an Apple Ipod and downloads from my Computer without a problem.
Any help please but not too Technical!!!l

If you have Windows Media Player below version 10, then it won't be recognised in music mode, in that case it may show up alongside your other drives in explorer as a removable drive.

Tried again and message says USB device has malfunctioned Try again and then replace device if this does not work. I bought this from Argos 3 monthsago and they only give 28 days to return!

Try another plugging into another USB port, or if at all possible use another wire at the same time, could be a slight defect in the lead.

Irrelevant if you think the MP3 player is faulty. I actually got Argos to replace and MP3 after 18 months as I had "reports" from the internet that it was a know fault with that model.

Will go back to Argos but only have Bank Statement to prove purchase!!!!!!!!!!

I have had the Archos 3 months but have only tried to download last week.

Did you have the receipt Mike?

technically you DON'T need a receipt as "proof of purchase"
If the bank statement has the ARGOS's name as well as an order ID then that should be enough.

Failing that contact Archos as it's still under their warranty..
