  • Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a few days it's been hectic here sorting through everything, listing, dumping the rubbish etc.

Pleased to say although my listings haven't ended I have cleared £54 profit after fees, sooo challenge completed! I made £31 through Zapper which I am pleased with, I don't think I would have sold them all and made that much at the carboot sales so very pleased. I have a few duplicates to send off but they don't actually allow you to send more than one copy at a time which is a shame.

I have alot of toiletries to sell, had a big clear out and it turns out that I have too many cosmetics, shampoo, conditioners and toiletries. Just debating where is the best place to get rid of them to make the most money. Any ideas very welcome.

Ouch about the contact lenses Foxy, I use acuvue extra moist and my last packs (from specsavers) very awful, they kept tearing and irritating my eyes and it caused alot of problems. I had enough after I had an eye infection. I then bought the same contact lenses from an online company and was very suprised that the quality dwas so different, they clean easier and don't tear at all but is exactly the same brand. I know it may not be much help but when you go to buy more there is a website that finds the cheapest place to buy them here -http://www.findmylenses.com/search/johnson-johnson/monthlies/acuvue-advance#results just type in your brand and find the cheapest price.

Nicola well done on your listing last weekend tat is amazing, I only tend to list about 10 items as I hate standing at the post office toppling over with hundreds of parcels but to be honest I think I need to otherwise I wont shift it all. The bedroom is packed and sorted in one corner so far, probably the corner with the least effort, now just need to do the rest *sigh* such a big job.

Have I missed any amazing bargains lately or any new money making tips or tricks?

Hope everyone is ok and doing well xx

Just a quick plug about SwagBucks as I cannot believe how easy it is to accrue points and so quick! I joined on Dec 29, first redeem on Jan 11, and just now done my second redeem :D:D:D. I am so pleased!! Am going for the Amazon £5 evouchers as they are so versatile and can be used on anything on Amazon. The last few days I have been focussing on the Supersonic Vids and got loads of points that way. And every day, do the Daily Poll, NOSO, several searches of sites you would visit anyway and other stuff, SBTV, Games and also keep an eye on the codes on SBCODEZ.com.

If you decide to join up, it is free :D, PM me for a referral link :-)

Back to it ;) Good luck everyone!!

    Hi everyone

hopefully it's not too late for me to join in this year, would that be ok please? A little while ago I started putting change into a money box, but it's only tiny so every now and then I have to convert the change to a £5 which I'm putting in an envelope - I'm trying not to look in the envelope till just before Xmas, but I bet curiosity gets the better of me!

i'm really interested in doing the paid survey work, as it's something I can fit in round my day job so I can try to clear my credit card (which never seems to happen...)

Could anyone tell me if I need to register as self-employed to do the paid survey work? I know you have to if you do mystery shopping, although I must admit that I'm thinking of trying that too.

I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer, thanks ever so much.:)

I've watched the clips right through, over and over and still just sitting at 10% I looked on their help pages but didn't see anything
nicola, try using a different browser? I was having trouble with the SBTV for ages, I wasnt getting the points or they were going on and then coming off again next time I went on the site. I contacted them direct and they told me it was because I was in UK and they were for US only so I stopped doing them for ages. I have started doing them again this month as saw others were getting the points for them and now they seem to be working ok. I am using Firefox as my browser. Cant think of anything else to suggest xx

Hi Nicola what is the recycle shop?? I have a tonne of baby clothes to get rid of that i don't want to send down to the charity shops or are too much effort to stick of ebay.

We are also tempted to look in the loft.

Hollie the one I have been using is http://www.we-pay.eu/ is only 50p a kilo , may be better rates at others local to you. There is so many of them popping up everywhere and most do free collection if you have xx amount of bags I use this one as its close by.

You might struggle to get a decent amount of money with it being baby clothes, I did have quite a lot of heavy items like jackets and jeans so maybe you should get looking in that loft.

Its not a lot of money but it's cash in hand and a lot less hassle, I tend to keep the really good stuff, that will be easy to list/describe/sell for ebay then pick out a few decent things for charity shop then everything else goes to the recycle shop, but I keep them until I have a stash of bags to go

What about listing the baby clothes as bundles, I did this last year and sold quite a few, a good photo and you don't need to be to specific in the details. I split into 0-6, 6-12 an 12-18 months bundles and split into outfits and then all the underwear and PJ's together
  • Hi Guys,

Hope you don't mind me saying and don't want to tread on any toes but don't think we are allowed to put personal referal's on this board. Think we can send a pm if someone asks or maybe a general if anyone wants to join such and such send me an email but referal's need to stay on the referal's board. Pretty sure Elysia mentioned it last week,

Hollie, have you tried bundling up the clothes to sell on ebay, much easier to list and think you can get good returns. If they are baby clothes then I think the NCT will sell them for you, they take a cut but least you don't have to list, post etc. You would probably make more than a recycle shop.

Well done on the sorting and organising.

My Ebay Mantra is get it on now and if it doesn't sell it saves me later as its so much easier to then just re-list the next time there is a free listing weekend and also If I haven't got anything ready then I have a backup

I only really list on free listing weekends too which so far has worked for me, and I split the listings to end Fri,Sat,Sun pm, sometimes a Thurs night too which depending when people pay gives me the options of a Fri,Sat & Mon, Tue posting

I think my PO has got used to me turning up every few weeks laden with bags and I try and go at times when I know it will be quieter
