Ooh forgot to mention another dry night! Did toilet him at 3.30 but well chuffed for him! Just the waking and toileting that is tiring me out but rather that than washing and tumble drying! lol

How do you all get you maxi points and swagbuucks up so high? I've been doing polls and watching videos etc but only have 45 on swag and 410 on maxi!!

  • Have just found this thread and would love to join in - have sent a PM asking for the spreadsheet. We have a large extended family and although we mainly keep to buying for the children there are still lots of presents to buy during the year so would love to achieve a money neutral status.

Not sure how many surveys and reviews I will have time to do but I did really well doing most of my online Christmas shopping via Quidco so have over £100 tracked. Will only count the £5.90 paid so far. I have just been given some cash at work which is my share of our lottery syndicate winnings for last year. We aren't continuing this in 2012 so I think I can legitmately count this as "free money".

I have just received the email saying that a DVD I returned has been refunded - I bought it as a present for my other half and someone else had the same gift idea so he had 2. As I haven't replaced the DVD (it was only a stocking filler) I will put the refund into the gift pot (is this allowed under the rules?)

Will have a sort out for eBay this weekend though not sure that January is the best month for selling.

Looking forward to joining in with you all.
  • hi Hayley, I have 5 sewing machines (don't ask why lol) and the best one that has done really well at lasting a busy sewing life is my Janome.

I would suggest a Janome as they are easily fitted with new parts and all the universal feet and attachments will fit on them.

I found the Janome 2050 is a decent price of about £90.
If you still can't decide, look up "Sewing Machine retailers" in your area and go and test some out.

hope that helps you :D xx

Thanks for the recommendation! :) And as if you have five sewing machines!! Hahaha :) Will do, thanks :)

I had an email this afternoon to say I was getting a £10 Amazon voucher for something I did last week, some kind of diary. I had forgotten all about it so it will be a nice bonus. Should get it within the next two weeks.

Edit to say they sent me the voucher this afternoon.

Please cover your ears everyone while I scream. Are you ready? ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ignorance was bliss until Chel said it was Friday 13th. Since then we've had distaster after disaster. We had a power cut, (only for a few minutes, but its messed all the alarm clocks up.

After that I took my Dad shopping, I got back and was putting mine away, and there was this awful smell like burning rubber - OH had put the tumble drier on, and it's not working properly.

I put the shopping away and the freezer had defrosted - I've just thrown away a black bag full of food (not worth claiming on the insurance, as it will bump the premium up), THEN I wandered why my foot was hurting, I knew I had a blister, and my foot is all swollen and infected, Docs for me in the morning for antibiotics. :( If you don't see me again, I've gone to bed until tomorrow. ;)
