Caroline78 - You're making good progress with that sampler. It's lovely.

Catwoman150 - The last time I bought a chart on HAED I did think about buying the hard copy but postage is expensive so I always download the PDF's.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone

  • "IF" - with crosses completed and backstitched............i don't like it - can see me unpicking it all)

First 3 verses (sorry too lazy to take it out the frame)

Sorry, I don't like the IF either...I think the two colours are too similar in darkness so it doesn't stand out enough....Maybe try the green in half stitches like was said earlier....

christmas cupcakes from cross stitch card shop.

I like these but I'm a bit like Louise and wouldn't dream of stitching one as a card as there is so much detail in them...I would maybe stitch them all on one piece of material and make a cushion out of them instead...xx

Chicky - if you're going to unpick it anyway - what about leaving the green and replacing the red stitching with metallic gold, then you shouldn't need to do an outline as it will stand out?

    Elle - that's looking amazing! :D

  • Evening everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around for the last couple of days but we got some very very sad news on Friday morning. We got a call to say that my b-i-l's granddaughter sadly passed away. She was only 2yrs old. She didn't have any signs of being poorly. She was a typical lively little girl. Needless to say her parents/grandparents are devastated as indeed we all are. The family have asked me if I could stitch Winnie the Pooh for them with her name on to go to her nursery. I seemed to remember seeing Winnie in a mag not so long ago so I have sorted it out and will make a start on it tomorrow. They wanted something fairly plain. I think this one could be used as a birth sampler so there will be room for names etc.

Sleeping Beauty will be put to bed for a little while so that Winnie can get done. SB has progressed but concentration hasn't been easy.

I will try to catch up with all your posts and update pics over this week.

I did catch a glimpse of one pic and all I can say is WOW Elle. :T

I did consider asking for a ;);) chicky of the cupcakes but in all honesty I just don't think I will find the time to do them but I do love them.

Catch up later in the week girls.

    Take care
