There’s a console-shaped hole beneath your telly. It used to be filled by the original Xbox, but you threw it out to avoid the scoffs of your old Halo clan. Sometimes you stare at the space and wonder when the green glow will return. Well, that day may have arrived thanks to this stonking competition.
We don’t just have five Xbox 360s with a 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, headset, hi-def cable and 30-day Xbox Live gold membership to give away. That would be great, but not spectacular. No, thanks to Microsoft we’ll also be chucking in a copy of Gears of War with each pack to create a peerless weekend-wasting kit.
In the game, the planet Sera has been besieged by a terrifying race of creatures called the Locust Horde. Emerging from catacombs deep inside the planet, they’ve already killed 80 per cent of the population. It’s time for you to exact some revenge…
