Went down to get a couple of things on Christmas eve and both Game and Game Station had put the price of the game I was getting for dear grandson up by about £10!!!!!!!
Really annoyed as I only needed it as the one ordered from Game over two weeks ago hasn't arrived.

Thats what happens when you shop at the last minute.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Of course they do.
It'll be back down to 'usual sale price' on Boxing DayA kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
The OP might be on about the fact that GAME and GS sell some stock for more than what the website is selling the game for. Its what yu pay for convenience for buying from a shop so you can get in your hands rather than have to wait for it.0

Take the originally ordered one back with to the shop with the higher price receipt when it arrives. Problem sorted!0

That would wholly contradict the OP's experience!0 -

PC games. Console Games, DVDs, CDs are price set by the distributors, so they tell retailers to price to sell them at. this price will depend on the quantity to retailer orders. every so often the distributors will run promotions of let say they give a retailer 200 copies of a game to sell at £x and when these 200 are sold then the price will go to £y.
As a toy retailer i have had these sort of promotions offered to me, which i have turned down as i personally think these promotions are unfair on consumers0 -

You will more likely find them cheaper on Amazon or Ebay around this time.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I thought that had been illegal for decades, now.
it still happens unfortunately, the old way was if a retailer ordered 1 he would be told to sell at £x and if he ordered 1000 he was still told to sell at £x.
this is what was outlawed, now they tell a retailer the price to charge on the quantity they order. stores sometimes fight back at this process by having VAT free promotions, instore promotions.0
