Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Haven't posted for ages but enjoy reading everyone's posts so thanks all. As usual I start off well at the beginning of the year and then slacken off and waken up and it's december! Not quite that bad only just about October so great challenge for me - start the Christmas cards and wardrobe cleaning this weekend. And for my treat I will get out my recipe books and decide on a Christmas cake - haven't made one for a few years but it is one of my favourite things to do. Love to all - and I will post again in the next month or so!

You're all so busy and putting me to shame..........as usual.............lol
Still after two days of head scratching I got baby Lily 1st birthday card done so she's got that now plus a hand made teddy from out market and a pop up book with lilies in it.
Can't remember if I've said but did get a few bits from charity shop on Thursday......gingerbread men candles and a pixie in a jar (my friend will love it..........lol) plus a jumper for me........99p !

Now need to get myself sorted to do stuff for xmas..........maybe once we've been to hospital again on Wednesday my head will be clearer providing I know they're actually going to do something for OH.
I've got a list of what I want to do its just getting around to doing it.

    Hope you''re all ok:)

Today was my wee beastie's first kindergarten day. Up at 6.35, had to wake the peacefully sleeping child and roust her out of bed. Snackbox packed, clothing labelled, hair braided, shoes on. Quick call to make sure we're due at 8 and not 9 and their response is that she's not due till the 10th. At 9am.

    There's German efficiency for you.

I have now finished three bags for presents, one for my friend, one for my niece for helping me do the stalls, and one for YD for college. Thats another three Christmas presents out of the way.

My Dad rung me over the weekend, his door handle had come off in his living room. The door is hollow and he couldnt get the screws to go back in so I said I would go over today and have a look. Was thinking I was going to have to take the door off and make a hole and put some wood in behind the screws so went down in the cellar to get the tools to take and there on top of the tool box was a packet of hollow door fixings!! Havent got the foggiest idea where they come from as we don't have hollow doors in our house. The packet was really old looking and I searched the internet to see if I could get another pack and can't find them on sale anywhere. Did the trick and the handle is now secure and he can open and close the door again. I still can't believe I found the pack though, very strange. We use the tool box all the time. Spooky in a nice way.

Lol @ SugarSpun!! Good job you phoned!!!

Rufus - you obviously have a lovely friendly ghost! :)

Not much to report here - got painters coming Thursday to finish off that internal insulation work, so can get both rooms back to normal this coming weekend.

    Hope you're all well!

    hello all :j

Not done much except mess about with some old wooden scrabble tiles to try and make a motto type picture as a pressie. Found an old chopping board that would do to stick them on but now need ideas as to what sort of motto. Like doing a jigsaw and doing my brain in..............lol

    Hope you're all ok:)

Mary, that sounds a good idea, there are lots of things lately I have seen using scrabble tiles. Mostly jewellery items which had the letters showing but more recently people have painted pictures over the letters and made them into rings etc.

If your looking for mottos may be have a look on ebay at the mdf painted signs people have made, most of them have mottos painted on them xx
