The Perils of House Buying!!!
fivepound
Sold our house about 3 weeks ago and as the buyer is renting with his girlfriend, he's been pushing. We found the ideal property which the wife and children all loved and we had an offer accepted on Fri night.
So, big celebrations!! They even agreed to vacant possesion. Yesterday afternoon our buyers surveyor turned up to look at our house and gave it the thumbs up "no problems here" so then I got my mortage agreed and at 5pm paid £570 to the A&L for my home buyers report.
THEN, at 7pm there was a knock on the door and it was our buyer who came to tell us that his girlfriend had left him that day and gone back up North. He said he may try to buy on his own but would have to check (not holding out much hope).
It's good fun this home buying lark!! :j
