Lost photos while transferring to computer, can anyone help?

We have just managed to lose all the photos from a folder of photos whilst transferring from our camera (memory card) to our computer. There were 2 folders on the memory card and one folder is still present with photos on both the memory card and now on the computer but the other folder is there but empty on both,. we have tried restoring to previous version on the computer but it states there were no previous versions. Is there any way to get these photos back? I would be so grateful if someone could help.

Hi,

You need an "undelete" program. I have one in Ashampoo Winoptimizer for example but there are many free alternatives revealed by a google search.

You should then attach the camera to your computer and use the undelete program to restore the photos on the camera.
