Storing names and addresses on computer

We recently upgraded our computer, and its taken a while to transfer data across from our old one, during which time I've realised our old address book is out of date and needs redoing.
With previous computers, there has always been default software loaded which includes a contacts database, but to my surprise our new one doesn't have this (Windows 7), and I can't find it in the office package either (Office 2010).
I'd like to have a database stored on the computer which I can import in to letters and envelopes when creating them in word, and ideally one which would let me import and export data from my iphone 4. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I need to achieve this please, and ideally a link I can download it from or buy it from.
Many thanks

Windows 7 has Windows Contacts built in.

SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

Outlook > contacts0 -
Depends which version of Office 2010 OP has. Only Business and Pro versions come with Outlookscheming_gypsy wrote: »Outlook > contacts

Thanks stumpy. Don't feel so bad about not finding it under my own steam. They didn't half hide it, and am not sure why! What was wrong with just putting it in the drop down menu where it used to be!
We have the student version of Office so don't have outlook there.
Thanks for the help both.0
