Selling a House from Abroad!

Can anyone help with hints on how to sell my house from abroad? I am emigrating later in the year but am unable to sell my house until next year due to being tied in to a redemption clause. So how does one go about this? Are there any legal problems not being in the same country as the sale? etc..

We sold a flat while we were in Spain, used an Estate Agent, everything was handled by post and e-mail; the solicitor just sent documents through the post for us to sign and we just had our signatures witnessed, the money went into a UK Bank Account.
No problem whatsoever.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

The tax situation is something to consider as well, if you haven't already.
You may be liable to capital gains (or the equivalent) tax in the country you are moving to (assuming you become a resident for tax purposes) on any increase in value during the time you're not living in it.0 -
Should I sort out an estate agent/solicitor before I go?0

We did everything from Spain, but we already had dealings with both the Estate Agent (they already knew the flat from when it was rented) and the Solicitor, so it was just a matter of phoning them both.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Just to add; our son had all the keys to the flat, and he took them to the Agent before completion, but if you have them yourself I'm sure you could post them.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
