Very last minute xmas shopping - please help!

Okay, so like most people out there, me and my boyfriend forgot about getting two presents! They're for his two younger cousins, both boys aged 18 months and 4 years old. I've been instructed to get them 'something', but at such last minute and my local town not having much in the way of shops, I was looking for some help!
The 18mo is mad on In The Night Garden, is there anything anyone could recommend for a child this age? And the 4yo is Thomas the Tank Engine mad, but has every single toy you could imagine!

We have about £30 for both presents.

I'm at a total loss, if anyone on here could help I would be ever so grateful. Need to set off shopping in about an hour!

  • I would hit the local supermarket - a Sainsburys if you have one. They have lots of branded toys at very good prices. It's where I got some Peppa Pig stuff for my friend's daughter. Good luck!

  • Sainsbury's is too far, the nearest big one is about 20 miles away, and I tried Tesco when I dropped my boyfriend off there this morning! I'm currently searching the Argos website but nothing is in stock near me!

Why have you been instructed to get something, if you dropped your boyfriend off at Tesco earlier?

When my OH has forgotten to sort out cards/prezzies for his side of the family I don't step in and save the day...he doesn't sort out my side.

Tell your OH that it's xmas eve and you want to chill, not sit at home stressing over prezzies that won't be appreciated by a baby, and wrecked by a 4 year old.

Give their mums the cash and tell them you thought the money could be put to better use...or nip to Argos and get some gift cards.

  • doodoot, My boyfriend works at Tesco, he's doing a 9-8pm shift, and his store closes at 6pm, not giving him any time to go and buy anything unless he wastes his whole break looking and queueing, whereas I'm not doing much today apart from wrapping presents, therefore I don't mind!
  • A couple of colouring or sticker books; always go down well with the little ones. Stickers in particular - they love them.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
  • £15 Argos gift card each with a message inside that you thought they might prefer to choose their own toys this year. Quick, easy, sorted!
