Renting out our house - changed mind

    I spoke to the agent this mornng and apart from being devastating for the tenants at this late stage, there is no legal reason why we can't pull out. It was my permanent residence until a month ago. Obviously we will return the deposit and pay any fees due to the agent.

    I'm sure that there is no obligation on you to do so, but it would be a nice gesture if you made a contribution towards their referencing costs if that particular letting agent can't find them another property.
    Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...

    Certainly not while the tenant is living there :o .

    The agent has found them another property today and are only going to charge me a £250 fee for their services - which seems very fair to me
