Easy Bus
Hello everyone!
I'm using Easy Bus quite a lot, but it charges me a service charge every time, since I don't have a Maestro card. It's only a tiny amount, but it builds up over time! I've asked all major high street banks if they still issue Maestro cards but they all said no! Any ideas how I can get hold of one?? It would save me quite some money!
Thanks!!!

Hi,
You can get a prepaid card. This is where a company gives you a debit card that can be used online and in stores and everywhere else you would normally use your card, except it is not linked to a bank account. You load it up with an amount, say £50. It will not let you spend more than this.
If you search the web for "prepaid maestro", you will find plenty of companies offering the service.
Beware though that they often charge monthly/annual maintenance fees, as well as fees to top up the card. Check these before committing to it!
There is a guide on MSE about them, simply search the site for 'prepaid cards'The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Thanks for that! I had good read of the article on MSE.
However, I think I managed the find one of the very few banks in the UKJ, that can still give you a Maestro debit card-Bank of Yorkshire!
There are very few branches in England, but thankfully there is one in London, where I live!0
