Hi All
I'm hoping for a spot of advice pls. I bought a bed on eBay from a private seller, I never heard from the seller and the invoice email didn't contain an address. After two weeks of sending emails etc I decided to contact eBay and opened a case asking for assistance in contacting the seller. The seller did send me a text saying that as soon as the money is back in their account I could collect the bed, they claimed that on my opening a case the money was removed from their account. As I was now in contact with the seller I closed the case so that I could collect the bed. This was in August! I still don't have the bed!! I text them again in December saying I would go back to eBay if they didn't let me have the bed. The reply said that the bed was in the tip ( strange as it was claimed to be only three months old) and that they never had their money returned to them. I checked on my PayPal - the money was not returned to me. I text once more asking them to double check their PayPal, as I now cannot have the bed I will require my money returned. I received no reply, so attempted to open a new case with eBay.. But can't because too much time has past. I then turned to PayPal to open a case with them, I was allowed to lodge something but it also said too much time has passed.
So I'm stuck!! Any clues as to what I can do next?
Many thanks

With paypal you had 45 days to sort it out. Your well out of that.
If someone paid with paypal for a collect item i wouldnt let them, You could collect them claim you have not
received the item. Ebay dont like that but if they wont protect me then i have to protect myself.
I presume you paid with paypal? What dispute did you open? And how did you close it?
If the money has not been returned you will need to go through the small claims court.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If you opened and closed the dispute without a refund or your goods then there is nothing else at all you cna do on ebay or paypal. All you can do, assuming you have a valid geographic address for the seller is to go to small claims.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
