T-Mobile Phone Contract - Tesco Phone Shop

I rang up Tesco Phone Shop and the man on the other end said i'd get 300 minutes, 300 texts, unlimited internet, 500 mb streaming and downloading and then a free booster on top of all that... which i would later use for unlimited texts of which I had confirmed 3/4 times.
Week later, the phone arrives and t-mobile say that my booster has already been applied as the unlimited internet. Tesco said they would investigate into it, and find out what had been said in the sales call and then go from there. They rang me back and confirmed the bloke had said that i could get all of the above and then said they would get in contact with t-mobile to see what could be done. Earlier today they apologised for their 'honest mistake' and said there's nothing they could do apart from give me a £25 gift card... I refused politely and thought it was their fault and they should pay for the extra booster that they had promised in the first place, which had been agreed. They then offered me £40 which i also found to be unacceptable as i would have to pay £120 over the full contract to get what i was promised. Am I within my rights to get compensation for the £5 a month throughout my whole contract? Frustrated!

Reported as spam, first post from a new user advocating a service.
I think you should keep on at Tesco - they should honour their sales call or give you your money back and cancel the contract.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Take the £40 gift card.
You can change your flexible booster monthly, so realistically you only have to pay for the extra booster for one month, so are only down £5.10
ETA- to change it, text FLXB1 to 879

MamaMoo - the problem then is that he wouldn't have unlimited texts. Tesco promised unlimited texts, this is what they should be held to.0

If the contract is for a smart phone like an iPhone, the Internet will already be included, and OP will already have inclusive Internet, so having the booster as Internet aswell is just pointless. If OP Changes the booster to unlimited texts (as I said above) the problem will be solved
The set up I have is the iPhone tariff, 1200 mins, 500 texts, inclusive internet (with max 500mb used as streaming) and I have a free booster (which I have as unlimited texts), and it doesn't cost any more on top of the £45 p/m contract cost.0 -
All sorted. Tesco rang me back and are compensating me for the extra £5 a month. Result.
Thanks all.
