Still not sent ESA50 back, what next?

Due to extreme difficulties with my current mental health I've been unable to fill in and return the ESA50 form to transfer to ESA. What will happen next? Even if I could fill it in and post it now it's not going to reach them until offices open in new year by which time it'll be a month late

You need to ring them and explain why you have not filled it in,- hopefully they will give you a new deadline. Then get help from the CAB, or DIAL, or a similar organisation, or your mental health professional, to fill it in and get it sent before the deadline.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Do you know how soon they will stop benefits? My priority at the moment is keeping myself alive but I guess that will be made even more difficult if i suddenly find ,yself with no money coming in

If you do not feel well enough to complete the form they may send you for a medical instead. However, this does not give you the opportunity to fully put your evidence forward.
Is there anyone that can help you to deal with the process? Do you have a CPN?0 -
The DWP can't give you an extension all you can do is complete it as quickly as possible and return it late with an explanation as to why it was, a DWP Decision Maker will then decide whether you had Good Cause and what will happen with your claim.
You may still be offered a medical, if you have told the DWP your primary disability is a mental one, as ATOS have been told to take this into account, if you are, take a copy of your completed ESA50 with you and make sure it is read before they proceed with the medical.0
