  • This sounds more like a typo than anything else. Who, after all, knows which car they are going to buy a month in advance, unless it is brand new!

    However PaddedJohn is right. If the insurer has told you that you are not insured, you should not drive the vehicle.

    This is going to be a real problem because their offices will be closed until Wednesday and public transport will be at a minimum so if you HAVE to travel, you will need to take a taxi.

    By "have to", I mean doing things you planned to do at Christmas, not simply things that might be avoided.

    Make sure if this happens you keep full records and obtain receipts. Even if the employee has simply misread the documentation, they have caused you to incur this expenditure.

    However, going here and finding the firm should give you a contact fax number - you need to be corresponding with the organ grinder, not the monkey.
