Hi,
I'm looking to take out a income protection policy.
Anyone know of any trustworthy companies?
I've been looking at british insurance?
Really unsure who to sign up with!
Thanks

British Insurance dont sell income protection, they sell varieties of ASU/MPPI which is completely different as it has exclusions and only pays out for 12 mths. True Income Protection (PHI) doesnt...you should speak to an adviser to get IP quotesI am a director of Torquil Clark Life Insurance (formerly Life Policies Direct), a specialist protection broker. This marketing ploy that some ASU policies have done by making out they are income protection plans is creating a lot of confusion. It's is happening way to often with people doing DIY.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Income payment protection pays until retirement! The one's including unemployment will usually pay out for 12 months or 24 months.
As for well known companies, they usually payout. HSBC payout and other high street lenders such as TSB etc. If you have not heard of them, don't pay.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
Remember to say thank you to people who help you out!
