Scottish Power Email Removal

Scottish Power have a system problem at the moment. It appears to have removed active email addresses which has resulted in an automatically generated letter being dispatched. I received one of these today, which basically states that because they don't have a live email address for me, I have been removed from their online service. This means that I will get paper bills and lose any online discount. The letter further directs you to re-register at which point you will probably find that the tariff you are currently on does not appear.

I have spoken to SP and was told that they became aware of this problem about 3 weeks ago. It appears to mainly affect those who are on the Online Fixed Price Energy December 2012 offer. If you get one of these letters you need to call them and supply them with your email address and your current tariff, they will then update their system.
