I have searched, only similar topic has one reply with a dead link.
Just got a linksys PAP2T, want to set it up with sipgate for incoming calls and voipgain for outgoing. Does this mean I'll have to have two handsets plugged in? Or can it be configured to use the same handset for incoming as it does for outgoing calls.
Also, there was no instructions at all besides 'plug it in' about set up, can some kind soul please help me out? I got the IP address and can access the menu but it all looks considerably more daunting that I imagined.
Any advice and help appreciated.
Thanks.

I am at the moment using a single handset for both incoming Sipgate and outgoing Voipgain. My ATA is the older (unlocked) PAP2 but I needed to flash it with a different firmware (SPA1001) which supports two lines:

I think you would need to do the same for your PAP2T if you wish to use a single handset for both lines. Perhaps you need to search or ask in the forum there as to if and how: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/voip
Good luck.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -

According to DSL reports forum it can't be done so looks like we're sticking to BT, Can't afford to buy any more equipment. Teach me to not check this stuff before buying.Sigless0
