where am i going wrong !

Hi all every time i post on a forum at the bottom of my box it always says "edit" and "quote". What do i need to do to get rid of the edit? I have actually changed what i wrote just to get rid of it but it wont budge. I also have no thanks button although folk still seem to be able to thank me. Can any of you help a dizzy mare.. Ta

you cant thank yourself thats why you dont have a thanks button when you post. but others can see it and thank you. like i just did

The edit wont go either incase you need to edit again i guess.

Only you can see your own edit button as well so you can edit the post later on if you need to. No-one else can see it though.
