as per title looking for some help with learner driver insurance for OH. dont want to put OH on my policy in case something happens and i end up losing the NCB.
Thanks
If you think he's that bad, let him get more lessons first, then buy a car of his own, with his own insurance policy.0 -
Collingwood Insurance do a Learner Driver Policy whereby your OH would have his/her own insurance on your (or another specified) car.
When we used this for our son it was possible to get it for a month but it was cheaper (and more realistic!) to go for a 3 month package.
Note that this insurance becomes void as soon as your OH passes his/her test. It is specifically for the individual whilst they are a learner and therefore accompanied by a qualified driver.
Hope it all goes well - and for the sake of your nerves make sure he/she has a fair few lessons before letting him/her drive you - you will be amazed by how "knowledgeable" he/she may think he/she is already

There is an age limit on collingwood and youngmarmalade, but both worth a try.0
