  • I'm looking for a home for a regsave which matures any day now and a 2 year job would probably just fit the bill. It says that access is branch/postal, does anyone know if it's a one branch outfit down Essex way ? I,ve looked on the links but can only find one address in Brentwood.

    steady__eddie,

From previous experience with moneyfacts I would advise you to give Shawbrook a call and make sure (moneyfacts do get it wrong occasionally!) it is going to be branch/postal access only and not internet.

I have on occasion seen branch/postal access to products on moneyfacts.co.uk and then different opening options available on the product providers website.

    steady__eddie,

The 2 year fixed rate bond is on the Shawbrook Bank website now - Link

I have not gone through with their online application but it looks like you can apply online, hopefully the application gets submitted online and you don't have to print it off and post it to them.
It also gives you the option to print the application form and fill it in and post it to them, or if you call them they will pop a form in the post to you.

When you complete the online application they (say they'll) send you an application/confirmation form to sign and return (dunno yet whether they need a cheque with the form or have any DD/BACSy type stuff).

From the small print, it says:
Your first deposit can be made by cheque or bank transfer (once we have provided you with your accounts details).
