Should we change to the Co-Operative?

I read in the Daily Mirror yesterday how out of all the top big wig energy corps only the Co op are cutting their fuel charges to their customers. What do you think then--do you recommend us moving to them?

There are a couple of threads. They are more expensive for some regions but for me they were cheaper and I'm glad I switched from the big 6 cartel.

Customer service is excellent and I get dividend each month. They may still have the £50 switch offer on.
If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.

How much they are cutting by is not relevant. What is relevant is what you will pay, so use a comp site with your annual kWh figures to find the best tariff.
Having a co-operative structure does not make them the cheapest supplier-they rarely feature near the top of the comp site searches.

I think my glee at leaving npower for the Co-op in July is being tested now. The price reductions are not for all customers, had an email this afternoon ...
"When do the new prices take effect?
The change is with effect from 1 February 2012 for all new customers and for existing customers who signed up on version 2.2 or version 3.0 of our Pioneer tariff"
I signed up on version 2.1 so no price change here :(

If you go on their webpage and fill in the details they will tell you if its cheaper, my figures on BG Websaver 11 the coop cost £47 more but when I have to go on BG Online saver Tariff the coop will be £1 more, but all could change by May.
