Oh, could have swore on one of the episodes of Eddie Stobart there was snow on the ground and the woman driver got stuck on a slip road and she said something about changing to a manual box out of auto. :s

How much did it cost you to get your C+E? Lessons, tests etc?

I think I would sail through the practical, theory and all the drivers laws might be difficult for me to get my head round.

The cost is the major stumbling block though. :(
the newer truck do have a manual overdrive, but i never got into a situation where it was needed. my lessons were monday-friday 8am-5pm and cost just over £1000 for each part. so a C cost £1000 and the C+E cosy the same. both had up to 3 tests. so if i fail the test once i had 2 more chancesbefore i had to pay more money.

after you pass the C+E you have to take a taccy test, no cost involved though. its a one day thing, showing you the legal way of loading and reading you tachogragh. common sense really.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

    Hustle started again last night

I missed it so will get it on catch up over the weekend

Catching up so apologies if already mentioned, Hustle hasn't started yet I think it was meant to then didn't- BBC 1 HD here in Wales at least it starts 9pm next Friday.

    :j

Beaten to it. Hustle is next Friday according to Robert Glenister (Ash) who was on some BBC cooking show this morning. He sounds so posh in real life compared to his Hustle character.

Been to T's & yes the Philips DAB radios are now £30  how can they justify them being £5 & then suddenly £30? I see loads are selling on eBay for £20 ish :(

I found that radio for the first time today and was soooooooooo excited only to find it scanning at £30

Managed a full bag of Andrex, Littlest Pet Shop and a couple of Me To You split keyrings for less than £1.

Spent a fair bit more later on when I picked up an Xmas tree & lights for next Xmas, some more cheap toys (sorry but cleared out K'na'G spirallingdown) and even made it home with 2 minutes to spare before 'He who shall not be named' turned up.

Anyone found a cheap portable DVD player here in NI? I thought I was getting one for £25 today but alas they couldn't find it in the stock room. Would really appreciate any PMs from the locals if they spot one
