I totally agree.
I always feel I gain much more than I give to this thread but then it stands to reason we all do unless there were only 2 of us!
But yes I bet there are a lot of lurkers who just read the deals and take advantage, I suppose there's nothing wrong with that but I do believe in give and take. I've gained SO much from this thread and I would feel mean not to share my finds, after all I already have them no one can take them from me not even the trouts!!!:rotfl:
I fully agree with you.My daughter Toni got me involved in this thread. For a very short while I "Lurked" and really could not get to grips with the posts.I remember thinking what a load of rubbish and it made no sense to me.
I don`t seem to find the bargins like a lot of posters.Rightly or wrongly I will only post about items remaining in my local when I have got a few and I only ever get a few at a time.Toni posted a while back about some Con Sur wine being in our local, she had got herself,I think it was 3 bottles. She offered to take me after posting and they had all gone when we had got there. The success of anyone finding these bargins is all down to the posters and not the lurkers.Sorry to go on

Just popped to Tesco for milk and spent £8! Bad Kand FsMam - but I did manage to get DTD on the frozen chicken again. No telescopes though. Also got DS 5 pairs of socks for £1 though so I'm happy enough - I think my tumble drier eats socks!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000
Current mortgage £28,0000 -
One for the ironers out there so mainly Nikkilala! I've inherited the ironing board the ex bought years ago and it's a heap of carp to put it mildly. I've been saving up my survey credits and now have a tidy sum in Amazon vouchers to buy one. I have my eye on this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brabantia-Ironing-Heat-Resistant-Parking-Metallic/dp/B0018A1QMM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1Q58O2KULAL4&colid=17P9E9AYTUXA0
Any comments please? My mum hates mesh surfaces for ironing on but I'm not too worried. I just want a sturdy ironing board that is easy to use and won't need replacement felt & covers too often.
That is the one I bought my OH. It's the Rolls Royce of ironing boards, worth every penny (so he says!).:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -

In the scheme of things the most "useful" posts are those referring to glitches (our favourite!) and new finds like 1p or really cheap items, as they are the things most people can benefit from.
But it's also incredibly helpful to share dtd successes and finds and also things that DON'T work as they save people time and effort. You are also not losing anything by sharing this as undoubtedly you already have your stash!
Last paragraph directed at lurkers in particular...:)Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
Please put my head right about my latest gripe kind peeps.
I love to share and would give the shirt off my back if it made someone happy .....but there seems to be a lot of lurkers in my local.
Nobody has come forward for the list but yesterday there were three full strips of andrex (first time) so I took about six and went back last night and they were all gone, clip strips were there but empty.
I bought a couple when they were 25p for my daughter for festivals but when I went in last night there was just empty clipstrips. They were labelled at 6p so you wouldn't have to be a lurker on here to pick them up. Anyone seeing them at this price would think they were a bargain and grab a few. Hardly ever find anything mispriced in my local.0 -

I never post about DTD only because I would never do it.Good luck to those that do,but it`s not for me or Toni .
BTW When the EOP glitched it lasted longer here then anywhere else it seemed.I got a few everytime I went.A person sent me a PM,they knew the area I lived and asked me what store it was at.I told them everything to enable them to get some and asked if he/she would let me know if they trip was successfull.Did they? No not a word and this was weeks ago now. It`s not in my nature to rant,so sorryToni`s Mummy0 -
