I don't think that is the right answer. Because it was he was twice as old as her in the past, not he is twice as old as her now.
I might be wrong though.... and I'm off out now, so no more time to work it out!

That's what I'm thinking as well.

Fred is twice as old as Sue was when Fred was as old as Sue is now.

Say Sue is 22. When Fred was 22, Sue was 11 making the age gap 11. That makes Fred 33 (22 + 11), total 55

Say Sue is 20. When Fred was 20, Sue was 10 making the age gap 10. That makes Fred 30 (20+10), total 50

Say Sue is 18. When Fred was 18, Sue was 9 making the age gap 9. That makes Fred 27 (18+9), total 45

Unless I'm going totally wrong that is :o Jumble, put us out of our misery!!!!

Kamps... Help me out. My brain hurts.

I have just seen this puzzle. Couldn't figure it out so looked at the answer and I STILL can't figure it out???

    Get ready:

    How Old Are They?

If Fred and Sue total their ages, the answer is 49.

Fred is twice as old as Sue was when Fred was as old as Sue is now.

How old are Fred and Sue?
Possible spoiler - maybe not though!

It doesn't say Fred is twice as old as Sue or it would be too easy lol!

My answer is below but I'm not sure if it's right, don't look if you don't want to!

    I think...

    Fred is 28 , Sue is 21.

You have to do it backwards , so if Sue is 21 now , when Fred was 21 Sue was 14 and it says Fred is now twice that old.

    Is that right Jumble?
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

Is the stripclip club still open for business? Went further afield and had my first strip. Also grabbed a full unopened box of the 8p illoom balloons.

Sorry, the strip clip closed with the old thread.

I only popped in to get some milk, it was pretty quiet (tiny store) I found my hand wandering towards the stir in sauces, free sauces and 27p off my milk:j

    Noooo!!!

It's fun prowling for whoopsies. There won't be many festive goodies if it's open Christmas day in future. Lots of turkeys are dated for boxing day do might not be reduced on Christmas eve by very much. More goodies on boxing day though!

It ain't arf quiet on here!

    Edit:
Is something good on tv? Could that be why?
Or are you all scratching your heads over how old Fred and sue are ;)

My thought on the boxing day opening was whoopie! Lots of offers end 25th so might get some bargains this year as all tickets got changed last year during the closure. I have a list ready!!,
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.
