Hope you don't mind me putting my twopenneth in. I can't believe how you and your son have been treated by the school.:( I am a primary school teacher (specialising in additional learning needs) and dyslexia is a 'passion' of mine. In our school we view dyslexia as a learning difference (because it is) not a learning difficulty. Dyslexic people are intelligent people who cannot fulfill their potential unless they are taught the correct way to learn according to their specific difficulty. Ie some dyslexic people have a very poor auditory memory and some have a very poor visual memory. Some have both:(. You need to insist on a diagnostic dylslexia assessment (not just screening). If you get no joy with the school phone the local ed dept direct and speak to the school's Ed Psychologist. The male gene is also a strong one where dyslexia is concerned. (sorry to sound sexist but it is true). We find that once the child knows the problem they are experiencing their self esteem begins to rise and so does their academic progress as they now know that they aren't just 'thick' (not my words-I hear that a lot as we provide a type of therapy for the children who have been diagnosed). HTH:)
Thanks for your advice, will be phoning the school in the morning. I have mentioned him being tested at every parent teacher interview but because he was doing so well in P5 when both myself and the teacher were working together they then thought his problems in P6 were down to his dad being ill and the combination of no stable teacher that year.
Will again speak to the school and see if they'll do the test, if not I know were there is a test and advice centre nearby so will see what they can do to help.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

The refund will have gone to the TA because they initially paid for the hotel. The TA will then refund you.
Or
The TA has some kind of agent discount/cashback card etc etc etc.
Or
They have an account and they get billed by the airlines/hotels once a month or so. But you still need to pay the TA so they have your money for when their CC gets debited.
Thanks HC. All sorts of stuff has been running through my mind this evening. Will wait and see what they say when i ring them in the morning.
Am particularly intrigued as to why I have to chase them for my refund with my reference number against it thoughI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I got a slow cooker from T's for £9. I've only used it once for a spag bol and even on the low setting I came in from T's to find it bubbling away quite ferociously and my spag bol had stuck to the bottom. To me that's hardly slow.
