Pity you couldn't double the budget and buy a MacBook Air.
Sonys are way over priced. HP make some corking laptops and very nicely presented and made too.
A possible cheap way around things is to buy and under specced lappy and upgrade it. Mine had just 2gig of ram but will upgrade to 8gig of top spec crucial ram for just £40. Its running a 64 bit OS wo will address it too.
Hard drive space isn't THAT important these days either as most people store the stuff on desktop PC's or external hard drives.
Unless you actually want something that NEEDS to be high spec, you'll be spending extra money for nothing imo.0 -

Forgot to add that the muller worked in Newport and also had a 55p bogof and couldn't figure out what it was, checked receipt again and it was my woopsie pastry!
Thank you to the original OP on the muller.

Edited to say that I have been catching up and hadn't realised that every man and their dog had already bought theseA bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist0 -
