Evening all, Happy New Year :)

Had a right laugh at cs today in K1ngsw4y Dund33. DTD on the Pork Loin Steaks which are £8.00/kg now £4.00/kg there was a sel on the 2 packs aswell which had £8.00 on them. Picked up 4 with a load of shopping and went to cs to get DTD. After 5 or so mins and showing them the sel they eventually started to attempt to work out how much I was due. £5 odds back to which I then ask for DTD. Was told no you were not over charged, I proceed to laugh and ask if I was not overcharged why are you giving me half my money back? to be told this was not a DTD an blah blah. So to save any bother walked to car put stuff in boot and gave the 0800 number a quick call. Walked back in told them it was def a DTD for the woman to then tell me she never wanted to give it to me as someone would get into trouble for it as they told her they had just forgot to change the sel and "what do you want to do about it now? get someone in trouble or leave it at that" Though that was a bit cheeky so just told her to call and quote the ref give to then be told she couldnt be bothered as she is too tired. Handed me the other half of the refund for the DTD and walked away without saying a word. Very LOL indeed.

Lots of whoopsies from a few Ts and Sainsburys. Now fully stocked up again :)
  • Is anyone here a regular of tesco in broughton, can you tell me has there always been a scanner in the sweet isle. I know there was a none working one upstairs but only just spotted one in the sweets so wondering if it's new or have I been walking round with my eyes closed

I realised that i was looking a bit silly, being a 30 something around all these teeny students who were all a size 0 against my size 12 :(

Sorry, only just seen this QOC - not sure where you were dancing but the thing I love about the studio I go to is that everyone is really friendly, we're all diff ages and sizes and all have different strengths, skills and styles. Don't give up on something you enjoy because of what others may / may not think xx

Not what you want to hear but thinking back to your previous posts, you were right to tell the kids when you did. I know you & exFIL didn't get on but I hope the kids are ok.

Sharon, Sorry about your FIL, I remember you posting about it a while back:(

Thanks both of you, he went way quicker than expected so I know for sure now that I did the right thing by telling them. Kids are hanging in there but DD is feeling guilty as she wasnt well at the weekend and didnt go to see him as she was afraid of making him sicker.Though DS did say when he came home on Sunday that he reckoned it wouldnt be long. DS is due to fly back to England for uni on Fri so waiting on funeral arrangements now. They're seeing their dad now but the house is manic so I'll take them out again tomorrow when it calms down a bit

Edit funeral is Friday....off to phone easyjet :(

Forgot to mention, I spoke to CS (finally!) about my steak overcharge and the guy was a waste of space, told me how was he supposed to know what I was due back if instore CS couldn't work it out and offered me £5, which would have been almost right so I took it. Made a point of saying I thought it was wrong the store were still selling to people not aware they were being overcharged and said their business ethics were wrong.
His reply was "Yeah I'll pass it on anything else to complain about?!"
Before I snapped I said no thanks and put the phone down, will see if gift card comes!

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
