  • A very, very, very Merry Christmas (Season greetings to those who don't celebrate Christmas). Just popping on for a short while, am waiting until midnight so I can put the pressies under the tree. We don't put them out until then as they can't appear until Santa has visited, can they? (the kids sometimes wake up through the night and we don't want them to see them too early).

We visited Santa's Grotto (for the second time) this morning, had a ride in the Christmas train around our local shopping centre, got a Skype message from Santa courtesey of the Northpole online vid. app. just before bath time (my 7 year old DS was blown away by it and sat their waiting to find out if he had been naughty or nice, convinced it was gonna come up naughty), it also worked wonders in getting my 4 year old DD to do as she was told at bed time. We have scattered our magic raindeer dust on the front lawn and left out mince pies, milk and a carrot out for Santa and Rudolf. Kids have gone to bed very excited. Can't wait until tomorrow now.

OH has been fab today and let me check out M&S, Sainsbobs and Ts just before they each closed (5pm, 6pm and 10pm). Unfortunately not much in the way of bargains. Did get some Christmas Crackers half price from Sainsbobs and they have little wind up Santas and Snowmen in them. I also managed to get a couple of turkey crowns for £1.20, reduced from £12.50.

For now I am gonna kick back with a couple of glasses (cough, cough) of rum and coke.

  • Oh dear my head hurts:(:( Long story cut short.

went to MR Ts 8am for my last bits home for 9am. eldest ds phoned to say he is on his way home for xmas ( lives away from home ). quick tidy round and sit down for elevenses, door bell sounds its the postman parcel from my parents and a letter for my 18year old ds ( he lives at home ) he takes his letter upstairs and within a few minutes hes running back down with a big :D:D all over his face. his letter was an entry date for the navy, he has been waiting nearly two years for this. so we all decided to have a drink or 2 to celebrate. Bad idea 3 hours later i had to go for a lie down, i think i may have over done it :eek:
I have just woke up and the house is in total darkness the cheeky sods have only left me home alone and gone to the pub:mad::mad::mad: serves me right for being a lightweight i suppose. So now im gonna be wide awake most of the night and the rest of the house will be snooring their heads off. I might just have to sample a few more to send me back to sleep.

ps MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL XXX:o

Oh, hope you didn't think I was being rude by my comment. It is just that you put January in your original post and someone added you to the list but as December. I think a lot of people realised it was a typo, my comment was not meant to come across as serious. Sorry if I offened :o
