I've budgetted (sp?) for one takeaway a week and one meal out a fortnight. I figured that was doable for me.
I don't know about you two but once I re-joined the labour market I know I will struggle without the treat of a takeaway a week. My social life also requires beer and eating out money but then I don't know anyone here whereas you know each other!:D

I agree Butti you do need that treat every week, it doesn't need to be big or anything but it helps with the long slog, I did suggest it but I got the whol " oh no we don't need a treat at all" I have noticed with mr el you have to " prove" things to him, so that's why I'm writing it all down and that's why when we go shopping we will have less money ...
Knitting club sounds fun, is a pub the right place to have it though? Won't there be a lot of dropped stitches ?0 -
So free theatre night tonight, looking forward to it as its been a long weekend with work, I'm taking parking money but hoping not to use it and will be taking my own water etc into the theatre, no meal out etc so it should cost us diesel money and possibly parking, not bad for a night at the theatre0

Tablet ? Yes it is Dragon ... It is lethal ... But what a way to die ... Death by tablet ... Mr el's is exceptionally good as well as he puts a tiny bit of vanilla in it
Last time he made it was just before we headed to the U.S we had to take some over for my friend.... Her family were all fighting over it, we had a party where she invited some other scots over and refused to tell them, the mother went into the fridge to get a wee glass of wine and spotted it... It turned hilariously ugly at that point0
