gahhh wrote a whole long post and my battery died

well today went good, we got a call saying not only were the bosses coming out but that we were getting a surprise inspection from the government governing body ( inspectorate type people) ... thankfully it was myself and another member of staff on as if it were anyone else we wouldve been in serious trouble, we had the inspectorate out and we got the highest score available, we were praised for our efforts given the difficult situation we work in and were highly commended for our standards, there was no mention of redundancy but there was mention of inadequacy, not staff inadequacy but environmental ( cant say too much obviously) i think there will be changes afoot but i dont think it will be staffing issues ( but then you never can tell)

i feel like i need to lie down in a darkened room with a big glass of wine, but i did really good and can honestly say i am proud of myself, one of the bosses was asking me about my studies etc, i informed them of where i was currently at, it was suggested and requested of me that i seriously consider utilizing some of my skills within the work place, and would be paid the going rate for my services instead of my current rate, i mentioned that i didnt think this was entirely ethical as i am an employee and wouldnt want to be seen as having an advantage over another person that could provide the same service and i was told that given the type of work that i do that wouldnt be a problem ... i am all checked out they know my standards they like what they see and would i please please think about it seriously as my skill set would be highly saught after

so ... i have phoned another couple of units and asked if they would be interested, and so far so good, i will sit down and figure something out over the next week or so, times/price etc and see if it is something that would be worth persuing

i sold another book, this book i got £23 profit for ( after fees and p&p) will post that tomorrow but the books seem to be selling thick and fast thats two today so far, one of the things i have on ebay seems to have started a bit of a bidding war ... i have 10 watchers and 7 offers so far ... current price is £6.50 considering music magpie were only going to give me £1.34 for it i am quids in :)

picked up the blind and mr el has fitted it, also opened a new saver account, will need to open one for mr el now ( that will prove more difficult i think ) but again we are slowly getting there with that

nothing much else to plan but i have a phone appointment that i need to rush off for so will be back later :)

    hope everyone is good

Sounds really positive El, congrats :T:T:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks GG,natty and catshark :) , i have to admit i was really nervous about it :)

have just had a very very helpful conversation with a fellow mse'r, it's amazing how someone looking in from the outside can make so much of a difference :)

i have alot to do and organise but i feel very positive that some changes for the better will be getting made thanks to this person ( dont want to say who as i havnt asked their permission)

so .... i am now going to have a long bath and talk to mr el about today and the phone conversation and i am sure he will have a good amount of input and encouragement to add to the mix
