I had a similar problem with NPower for my elec - DD was originally £35 a month. Account was £118 in credit, they wanted to put DD up to £50 odd, and when I phoned to reduce their suggested amount, they wouldn't budge.
I ended up changing over to BG click energy - best thing I ever did. Still paying £30 per month DD and in credit. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0
