When I queried the price they referred me to the Tesco Direct up the road - £91+

I didnt say you should formula feed rather than breast feed? I breastfed all the way with my only surviving child. I just used to express by hand so to me £45 for a machine seems like a lot, and £90 a heck of a lot!

That's fine if you only express occasionally but if you need to regularly then an electric pump halves the time and can often yield much more.
