Medela Swing Breast Pump

  • Have to say if these are half as good (and the reviews say better!) than the mini electric, then they're fab! The only bad thing I can say is they're a tad noisy but other than that, no faults what-so-ever I struggled for an oz with my manual and can easily get 5+ oz with this in 10 minutes :)

I had given up hope but given that someone found one in Essex so recently, thought it was worth another shot! Am driving tomorrow from Warwickshire to London, and would be happy to stop off at any Tesco Extras along the way or near here that have. Has anyone seen any in Warwickshire or in any of the Tesco Extras en route to London e.g. Banbury, Abingdon?

    Thanks so much.

It sounds like a good product but I can't beleive people would pay £45 for a breast pump let alone £90!

I can't believe people pay £8ish for a box of powdered milk but ya know :p

This will more than pay for itself and if it helps to prolong breastfeeding then it's worth every penny.:A

I loved my Medela Swing (hospital took back its loan pump and I couldn't afford to rent) - I even managed to convert it into a double pump!!

I got mine on Ebay for £50 and sold it for £50. So you can make your money back. I fell in love with medela in hospital with my first - massive pumps in hospital which I then rented for £40/month. So before no2 came along I made sure I had this gadget at home. Brilliant.

I had spare tubing & shield from the hospital double pump, and used a T-piece bought from Halfords (the tubing is similar size to car washer fluid tube!). It worked because I was only needing half-strength suction for single use, so could ramp up the suction to make it strong enough for both sides.

Wish I'd bought one looking back. LO is 6 months old and refuses bottles now.

    Manual pump=not fun!!
