2012 will be pretty much the same as 2011 - and I reckon house prices down about 5% by this time next year0

Yep, looks like we were all wrong thinking that despite the EU on the verge of collapse, the UK probably going back into recession, etc. etc. that we would see full employment and a booming economy.
Clearly you're a beacon of good sense in the darkness of our ignorance.0 -

It's good job all the major news agencies, world leaders and economic commentators have had his posts hotwired to their blackberries, iphones and advisors.
I've heard one European leader has even had a brain implant which allows him instantaneous access to his prophecies.0 -

Well Osborne still did think that until recently. Apparently all thats needed for the private sector to generate record unprecidented numbers of net new jobs is to sack people in the public sector. Take that boot off its throat and the private sector will immediately grow at record rates.0 -

Sarcasm aside, I know it's a no brainer that next year is going to be awfull, there is no other way of seeing it.
But you still get property bulls on sites like this saying that 2012 will be great and that rents will go up, prices of property will rise, and that liquidty will return to the lending markets.
I know what I am saying is obvious, but you would not believe it if you came to this board.0 -
