Cycle Routes

Does anyone know of any good cycle routes books or websites?

Me and the boyf did our first ride together yesterday (and easy 10miler!) and would like to do more (easy rides not too many more miles!)

I've been using sustrans.co.uk for some routes, but the detail isn't good about where to park at the ends of the routes etc.

Does anyone have any tips (pref free ;) )

Many thanks

If you fancy a trip to London and its surrounds, try the free guides available from Transport For London...some lovely local routes around the Thames etc (with pubs and landmarks en route such as Hampton Court, Ham House in the SW). Perhaps all local councils promote their routes these days?

What part of the country do you live in?
I live in Yorkshire and there are superb cycling routes, lots of hills though.
Many local authorities publish their own cycle route leaflets these days.
Not sure what you mean about parking at the end of your route. Usually if your going into a cafe lean the bikes up outside, chain them together or around a drain pipe.

Sorry I'm in Worcestershire, and my boyf lives in the heart of the Cotswolds (nr Moreton in Marsh) though it's a little hilly round there for our level of fitness at the mo.

Suzy, I meant parking the car - the 'easy' routes that we've found so far, mean that we have to drive to the start of the route and then cycle there n back (or round in a circle) and back to the car. Neither of us want to do 'on-road' routes yet as it's been a while since we've been on bikes, and we're 're-learning' :rotfl:

Thanks for your replies so far guys! :T
