Happened to me, too. Score of 985 or thereabouts and declined by Egg. Tried with Nationwide who were happy to accept me and offered to lend me far more if I wanted it.0

hmmm.. I wonder whats causing that then.. *It says your score is higher than 80% of the UK comsumers applying for credit* (AMAZINGLY!! hahaha)
I'll look into Nationwide now then.. thanks for that

These scores are completely meaningless as each company use their own assessment criteria. I hope you did not pay for them.0

Since you were on the DFW board a while back saying that you were in 38k in debt, I wouldn't pay much attention to your score. If ever there was a reason not to believe them(scores) this is.I am desperate for acceptance, please hit the 'thanks' button.0 -
Is it affordability rather than credit score
affordability is a big thing when borrowing money of course!0 -

Ahh I see.. I was trying to get something to cover most of them.. Ive never missed a payment and have no bad marks at all on my file. Everything is paid on time. So I assumed showing that as much as I have alot of debt, I have always been able to pay it. I thought that would help me. Clearly not then. :rolleyes:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts.
